Dig_IT
Dig_IT is a Horizon 2020 funded project that aims to address the needs of the mining industry to move forward towards a sustainable use of resources while keeping people and environment at the forefront of their priorities. In order to achieve that Dig_IT proposes the development of a smart Industrial Internet of Things platform (IIoTp) that improves the efficiency and sustainability of mining operations by connecting cyber and physical systems. The platform collects data from sensors at 3 levels: (i) human, (ii) assets, (iii) environment and also incorporates both market real time and historical data.

Our Role
eurocore is Dig_IT’s occupational safety expert leading the project’s Safety-Culture Rule-Based Methodology, translating real-world risk insights into measurable OHS indicators and digital rules.
Our work defines what to monitor across people, assets and environment, and threads those signals through the IIoT platform, Digital Twins and decision tools for early warnings and safer operations. We also co-drive validation, training, standardisation and GDPR compliance to make the safety gains auditable, scalable and market-ready.
